I cannot believe I have been in this space almost 2 years and I am just barely posting my studio tour. This studio is an absolute dream come true for me. Being able to have a private studio in my back yard is the perfect setup for me. The best part is, it is separate from my home, but still very convenient for me and my clients. It overlooks my pool, has a nice little outdoor sitting area, and has amazing views. It even has it’s own side entrance + parking that is blocked off from my back yard
This time around I wanted a very blank slate so I could move around, shoot more freely, and use all of my space to the fullest. I love the all white walls and the white washed floors. I often get asked what the flooring is. I used Mannington Adura flooring and it’s in a beach washed wood. The walls are all painted stark white. I used the base bright white paint with not colors added.
You can see in the photos that I have a lot of different setups I use, and I change them often. I have a white plank wood stage that I use for posing newborns. The stage is great because it gets the newborns off the floor and saves my back and neck from bending over. I also double the stage up as a bed stand in my regular studio shoots. It’s on wheels so it’s super easy to move around where needed. I use it as a bed stand because it’s the easiest way to free up space when I have more people in the studio.
This classic couch is one of my favorite touches. It doubles as both a sitting area for my clients, and I often use it in my sessions as well. Since my studio isn’t very big, everything has multipurpose.
I am also always switching out chairs, bedding, pillows, and all the fun accents that I incorporate into shoots. A little goes a long way in keeping my sessions fresh and new for my clients. I feel so lucky to have a space that is mine and that inspires my creative side. I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my studio!
